Domain Name Checker
Check if a domain is available in under a second — real registry data via RDAP, across 16+ extensions.
Check domain availability with registry-grade accuracy
Most domain search tools query cached databases or pass your search through a registrar's sales funnel. Namizy does neither: every check goes directly to the authoritative registry via RDAP — Verisign for .com and .net, Public Interest Registry for .org, Google Registry for .dev and .app. You see exactly what the registry sees, in real time, typically in 100–400 ms.
What you get with every check
For available domains: instant confirmation plus one-click registration links to Namecheap, GoDaddy or Dynadot so you can secure the name before someone else does. For registered domains: the current registrar, creation date, expiration date and full WHOIS details — useful when researching a domain you might want to buy or watch for expiry.
Can't find an available name?
The .com namespace has over 150 million registered domains, so most single dictionary words are long gone. When your first choice is taken, try the keyword domain generator to expand one idea into hundreds of prefix/suffix variations, or the AI name generator, which invents brandable names — checked for availability automatically. If you need to validate a whole shortlist at once, the bulk checker handles up to 500 domains in one run.
Why your domain choice matters
Your domain is the one piece of branding you can't easily change later. Short names are easier to remember and type; names without hyphens and numbers avoid confusion when spoken aloud; and a .com still signals credibility in most markets — studies of premium sales consistently show .com commanding the highest resale values. If you're unsure what a name is worth, run it through the free domain appraisal tool.
Frequently asked questions
How accurate is the domain availability check?
Namizy queries the authoritative RDAP server of each registry directly (Verisign for .com/.net, PIR for .org, Google Registry for .dev/.app, and so on). This is the same source registrars use, so results reflect the live registry state — not a cached database.
What does RDAP mean and why is it better than WHOIS?
RDAP (Registration Data Access Protocol) is the modern, structured successor to WHOIS, standardized by IETF and mandated by ICANN. It returns machine-readable JSON over HTTPS from the registry itself, which makes checks faster, more reliable, and free of the parsing errors that plague legacy WHOIS scraping.
Which domain extensions can I check?
16+ TLDs: .com, .net, .org, .io, .co, .dev, .app, .me, .xyz, .info via RDAP, plus .ai, .ly, .tv, .cc, .gg and .to via DNS fallback. .com remains the gold standard for brand value and is checked against Verisign's live registry.
Is the domain checker really free?
Yes. Checking availability, WHOIS lookups, bulk checks and name generation are free with no account required. Namizy is supported by affiliate commissions when you choose to register a domain or hosting through our partner links — at no extra cost to you.
A domain shows available — how fast should I register it?
Immediately, if you care about it. Available domains can be registered by anyone at any moment, and popular keyword combinations get taken daily. There is no reservation system: availability shown now is not a guarantee it will be available an hour later.
